The grape or the land?

The Platonist Wine Company began with a simple question: When a varietal of grape is cultivated across lands, which specific of their form do they carry with them?

In other words: What belongs to the grape and what belongs to the land?

For our inaugural 2025 vintage, hand-selected fruit from the rocky granitic slopes of the Helderberg was handled with a minimal-intervention process, bottled in limited releases. The result is wine that captures a moment in time and place, never to be replicated but to last for years to come.
